HJWAVE, a Physical AI RF specialist, announced that it has been selected for the 2025 “Patent-Driven R&D Strategy Support Program,” organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korea Intellectual property STrategy Agency (KISTA). The program provides tailored patent strategies for small and mid-sized enterprises, integrating intellectual property (IP) strategies from the R&D stage to productization and commercialization. Through this support, HJWAVE plans to pursue divisional and continuation applications for its key patents, while also securing entry into major international markets. These efforts are expected to prevent competitor design-arounds and expand the scope of its patent rights. HJWAVE holds core technologies in the mmWave RF field, including 3D waveguide antennas and radar perception sensors, and has secured numerous registered and pending patents both domestically and internationally. In particular, its 3D waveguide antenna has passed t...

HJWAVE Registers Millimeter-Wave Antenna Patent in the U.S.

이미지
HJWAVE, a company specializing in millimeter-wave (30–300GHz) RF technology, announced that it has registered a U.S. patent for an antenna technology that can be immediately applied to radar systems for autonomous vehicles operating in the millimeter-wave frequency band. The patent, titled "Antenna Structure with Reduced Angle Error," is a core technology that enhances detection accuracy—an essential component of wideband, wide-angle, multi-layer waveguide antenna systems. In automotive radar systems, a multi-channel transmit and receive structure is commonly used. If the radiation patterns of each antenna channel are not uniform, discrepancies in phase and amplitude of the received signals can occur, making it difficult to accurately determine the position of an object. Additionally, signal coupling (interference) between antennas can create ripple effects or signal nulls in the radiation pattern, weakening signals at specific angles. This degrades object detection accurac...

HJWAVE, Autonomous Driving Supported Antenna Technology, U.S. Patent Registered
