Tae-Hwan Yoo, CEO of HJWAVE, Receives Chairman’s Commendation from KITA at the 62nd Trade Day Ceremony
Tae-Hwan YOO, CEO of HJWAVE, a physical AI–based RF and radar technology company, received the Chairman’s Commendation from the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) at the 62nd Trade Day Ceremony held on December 4 at COEX in Seoul.
The award recognizes HJWAVE’s successful entry into the global market based on its proprietary technologies and its growth as an export-oriented technology company.
HJWAVE has achieved the localization and mass production of waveguide radar antennas and has secured key technological capabilities, including entry into overseas automotive electronics supply chains and the development of physical AI–based high-frequency technologies. In particular, this year marks a significant milestone as the company’s automotive electronics products began being supplied to overseas markets, signaling the first year of expanded exports.
“This award is a meaningful sign that our technologies are beginning to demonstrate competitiveness in global markets,” said Yoo. “We plan to challenge the USD 5 million Export Tower next year. Although this currently represents about 10% of our total revenue, we aim to increase the share of exports to 40% within the next five years and evolve into a full-fledged global technology company.”
HJWAVE is currently expanding collaboration with global customers around its core technology products, including next-generation waveguide antennas, RF solutions for satellite and communications applications, and physical AI sensor modules for the defense industry. The company plans to further strengthen its export channels, with a focus on the Japanese, North American, and European markets.
