HJWAVE Strengthens Waveguide Antenna Mass Production with In-House PVD

HJWAVE, a Physical AI-based millimeter-wave (RF) technology company led by CEO Taehwan Yoo, is accelerating the establishment of an automated manufacturing system and the internalization of its core production processes to enhance the mass production competitiveness of its waveguide antennas for autonomous driving radar applications.

To support mass production, the company has already established an automated assembly line with an annual production capacity of approximately 2 million units. In addition, HJWAVE is introducing a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) system, one of the key manufacturing processes for its waveguide antennas.

According to the company, following the equipment purchase agreement, the PVD system successfully completed its Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in Europe on July 3 (local time). After being shipped to Korea, the system will be installed at HJWAVE's Ansan manufacturing facility, where the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) will be conducted before full-scale deployment into the company's waveguide antenna production line.

HJWAVE expects that internalizing this critical manufacturing process will significantly improve production stability and quality control while strengthening supply responsiveness and cost competitiveness. By operating the core process in-house, the company also aims to enhance its manufacturing capabilities to reliably meet the stringent quality standards and delivery schedules required by global customers.

The company has recently been expanding its supply base and pursuing joint development projects with global companies in the autonomous driving and automotive electronics sectors. Leveraging its mass production system for waveguide antennas, HJWAVE is further strengthening its ability to serve global customers while accelerating the advancement of its production, quality assurance, and supply chain systems in preparation for future global mass production programs.

Beyond its traditional B2B RF business, HJWAVE has also established a dedicated business development organization to expand into new application markets utilizing its millimeter-wave RF sensing technology. The company is actively pursuing new business opportunities centered on next-generation applications, including AI devices. At the same time, HJWAVE continues to strengthen its C-level leadership-driven accountability management structure while further advancing its organizational framework to support global business expansion and manufacturing excellence.

"Our waveguide antenna is HJWAVE's proprietary core technology and one of our key future growth drivers," said Taehwan Yoo, CEO of HJWAVE. "By establishing an automated production system and internalizing our core manufacturing processes, we will continue to enhance both product quality and manufacturing competitiveness while expanding cooperation with global customers to accelerate mass production and commercial supply."

He added, "Building upon our expertise-driven C-level management system, we will continue expanding our presence in the global market while broadening our business into new application areas based on millimeter-wave RF technology. Our goal is to grow into a global technology-driven RF specialist."
