HJWAVE Selected for Scale-up TIPS R&D Program in Next-Generation Communications

 

HJWAVE, a leading millimeter-wave (mmWave) RF technology company, announced that it has been selected for the 2025 Scale-up TIPS (Scale-up Tech Incubator Program for Startups) R&D initiative hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA).


Scale-up TIPS is a flagship growth-oriented program designed to help promising companies—recognized for their technological excellence and growth potential—advance into global markets, attract follow-on investments, and expand their international business.


HJWAVE was selected in the "Next-Generation Communications" category for its product on "RF antenna components for base-station repeaters." Through this program, the company will receive 1.2 billion KRW in R&D funding over the next three years. Millimeter-wave–based RF and antenna technologies are considered national strategic technologies and are key enablers for advancing 5G and 6G mobile communication infrastructure.


CEO Tae-Hwan Yoo stated, “This selection serves as official recognition of HJWAVE’s accumulated mmWave RF technology and manufacturing capabilities at a national level. With government support and private-sector investment, we will continue to grow as a competitive technology leader in next-generation communications.”


Building on this achievement, HJWAVE plans to accelerate its transition into a physical AI deep-tech company by advancing RF and antenna technologies for next-generation communications, localizing core components for base stations and repeaters, and expanding business diversification through global technology partnerships.

HJWAVE Registers Millimeter-Wave Antenna Patent in the U.S.

  HJWAVE, a company specializing in millimeter-wave (30–300GHz) RF technology, announced that it has registered a U.S. patent for an antenna technology that can be immediately applied to radar systems for autonomous vehicles operating in the millimeter-wave frequency band.
