HJWAVE Wins ‘Korea ImpaCT-ech Award’
Lays Foundation for Global Expansion Based on Autonomous Driving Radar Technology
HJWAVE, a specialized autonomous driving RF technology company (CEO Taehwan Yoo), has been selected as a recipient of the ‘33rd Korea Impact Tech Award,’ hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The Korea Impact Tech Award is a technology award jointly organized by The Korea Economic Daily and Korea Information & Communication Promotion Association, recognizing outstanding technologies and companies in the ICT and advanced technology sectors based on innovation and industrial impact. HJWAVE was honored for its “3D Waveguide Antenna Technology for Next-Generation Autonomous Driving Radar Sensors.”
This technology is a radar antenna design based on a millimeter-wave (mmWave) waveguide structure, serving as a core component that simultaneously achieves the high resolution and wide-angle characteristics required in autonomous driving environments.
In particular, it is evaluated as a localization technology capable of replacing key automotive radar components that have heavily relied on overseas suppliers. It is expected to contribute not only to enhancing technological independence in the autonomous driving and ADAS industries but also to improving the trade balance in the mid-to-long term.
HJWAVE has been advancing both technology development and commercialization based on its capabilities in autonomous driving radar antenna design and RF system engineering. Alongside establishing its production infrastructure, the company is expanding its presence in the global market. Recently, it has been strengthening supply partnerships with global autonomous driving companies while continuously broadening the application scope of key radar components.
CEO Taehwan Yoo stated, “This award serves as an opportunity to gain external recognition for both the localization potential and industrial value of antenna technology, a core component of autonomous driving radar. We will continue to expand our business in the global market based on our technological competitiveness.”
