HJWAVE, supplying four types of unmanned transport system communication antennas.

 


RF specialist company HJ Wave Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoo Tae-Hwan) announced on the 4th that it has supplied four types of communication antennas to the smart factory of the world’s top white goods company. The supplied antennas include one type for AGVs (Automatic Guided Vehicles), which are unmanned transport vehicles, and three types for RSUs (Road Side Units) used for communication.

The RSU antennas consist of a V2X antenna, an LTE/5G antenna, and a GPS L1&L2 antenna. These products support communication and autonomous logistics and driving between vehicles and road devices through the GNSS system for receiving location information. They also support connectivity to LTE/5G mobile communication networks.

The V2X/GPS L1&L2 antenna supports frequencies of 1.2GHz, 1.5GHz, and 5.9GHz, with gains of 9-10dBi and 25-30dBic. The LTE/5G antenna operates in three frequency bands: 824-960MHz, 1710-2690MHz, and 3300-3900MHz, with an antenna gain of 2.5-5dBi.

In addition, a communication antenna for AGVs, which supports GNSS and LTE/5G frequency bands, was supplied. These products are essential antennas that support communication for autonomous logistics, unmanned transport, and autonomous robots in future-oriented smart factories where humans and robots work together.

Yoo Tae-Hwan, CEO of HJWAVE, stated, “In the fourth quarter of 2023, we plan to release the world’s first innovative product, an integrated antenna for in-vehicle use. This hidden integrated antenna integrates multiple communication frequencies into a single antenna, making it invisible from outside the vehicle. We plan to apply this product not only to autonomous logistics but also to autonomous robots, drones, autonomous delivery systems, and more.”

He further added, “Based on the technology that can supply antennas for millimeter-wave (77-79GHz) bands used in self-driving and logistics support, such as 5G microwaves (below 30GHz) and radar sensors, we plan to compete with companies worldwide.”

HJWAVE has launched two types of phase arrays and 3D antennas exclusively for imaging radar
