HJWAVE Wins Innovation Award at KES 2024 (Korea Electronics Show)

 

Millimeter-wave (mmWAVE, 30~300GHz) RF specialist HJWAVE announced that it has been selected in the electronic components and materials category at the Innovation Awards during KES 2024 (Korea Electronics Show).


The Korea Electronics Show (KES) is an exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and organized by the Korea Electronics Association (KEA). In its 13th year, the KES Innovation Awards recognized 37 products from 33 companies for their innovation, and HJWAVE won with its 3D waveguide antenna technology designed for autonomous driving.


Yoo Tae-hwan, CEO of HJWAVE, stated, “Our company is currently receiving positive market evaluations not only for the technical value but also for the scalability and marketability of our products. Our business scope has expanded from components to equipment, and we are aiming to further grow into a manufacturing company based on our specialized RF technology.”

HJWAVE Releases Beam Tilt Function Antenna for Autonomous Driving Corner Radar

 Secures 6 Patents for 20 to 80-Degree Beam Tilt Structure Millimeter-wave (mmWAVE) RF specialist HJWAVE (CEO Tae-Hwan Yoo) announced on the 7th that it has launched an antenna with a beam tilt function designed to improve the installation of corner radar used in autonomous vehicles. Corner radar is a type of radar installed at the corners of a vehicle. A representative from HJWAVE stated, "Previously, vehicle radars were categorized based on distance into LRR (Long Range Radar), MRR (Middle Range Radar), and SRR (Short Range Radar). However, with the application of 3D waveguide antenna technology, there is now a trend towards classifying radars based on their installation positions." HJWAVE has launched two types of phase arrays and 3D antennas exclusively for imaging radar

   <PCB Phase Array Type Antenna(Left), Waveguide Type Antenna(Right) > HJWAVE (CEO Tae-Hwan Yoo), a specialized company in millimeter wave (mmWAVE, 30~300GHz) technology, announced on the 9th that it has launched two types of antennas exclusively for imaging radar. The new products utilize a cascading structure with four chips to implement Tx16*Rx16, a total of 256 elements. The first method, a PCB Phase Array structure, incorporates an EBG (Electromagnetic Band Gap) structure to eliminate the channel deviation and ripple that are typical shortcomings of conventional methods. The second method, the WGIM (Waveguide Injection Molded) 3D antenna structure, consists of three layers and improves channel deviation by 40% and ripple by 20% compared to the improved PCB Phase Array method. HJWAVE has launched a 24GHz waveguide antenna product implemented on PCB.
