HJWAVE Constructs Specialized Millimeter Wave Factory in YongIn Techno Valley, Gyeonggi Province
Exclusive Production of Civilian and Autonomous Driving Radar and Antennas
On the 19th, HJWAVE (CEO YOO TaeHwan), a specialist in millimeter wave RF technology, announced that it has completed the construction and commenced operations of a three-story factory spanning 870 pyeong (approximately 2,874 square meters) on the ground and 1,270 pyeong (approximately 4,188 square meters) in total floor space in the Yongin Techno Valley in Gyeonggi Province.
This factory holds SQ (Supply Quality) certification, enabling it to produce and supply finished products to Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation, as well as IATF-16949 certification for overseas component supply. Currently, it supplies finished products to domestic and Japanese customers and plans to further establish its identity as a specialist manufacturer of millimeter wave (mmWAVE, 30~300GHz) products by constructing additional production facilities, including radar antenna and assembly lines.
CEO YOO TaeHwan stated, “Based on 27 self-owned patented technologies and securing 13 customer companies, we achieved sales of 11.1 billion won in 2023.” He added, “This year, aiming for sales of 22 billion won based on synergy from manufacturing line composition, we plan to expand our business into the global market, telecommunications, and defense industries.” He continued, “Since attracting an investment of 8 billion won last year, we are currently conducting a round of raising an additional 15 billion won. More than 30% of the investment has been completed, and we plan to complete investment attraction by the second quarter and proceed with facility and global expansion.”
He further explained, “In a situation where there is a shortage of companies capable of specializing in millimeter wave-based civil radars and autonomous driving radars, we plan to operate a dedicated factory specialized in millimeter wave products, from antenna components to radar inspection equipment and radar finished products, based on core RF technology.” He concluded, “We will actively respond to customer demands and prepare for an IPO (Initial Public Offering) by the first half of 2026 through synergy from research and development to finished product manufacturing.”
